Where does the money go?

Where does the money go?

For every £10 given to St George’s

  • £2.50 pays for our vicar’s costs; stipend, housing, pension, expenses
  • £3.00 goes to Canterbury Diocese to provide support for all churches (safeguarding, governance, etc) and resourcing other ministries in our diocese
  • £1.50 pays for all our ministries and staff salaries
  • £2.20 goes towards admin, buildings and support systems
  • £0.80 goes towards our mission giving, supporting key charities and mission partners (= 10% of our voluntary income)

Each year St George’s PCC set a budget so we know that we can reliably pay for our staffing and running costs each month and we can only meet our needs by the generosity of our members, so –

Please prayerfully consider if you can start or increase giving regularly, even by a small amount

If we all start small…

While the idea of starting or giving more may be intimidating, it’s important to remember that we are part of a whole community.

Many people giving a little bit more has a BIG impact.

This is how much we’d raise each year if every single adult in our church started giving or increased their giving the equivalent of a drink out in Deal.
