Prayer

Prayer

Prayer is at the centre of our
church life.

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them”

Prayer is the means by which we talk to God, to praise Him for who He is, to thank Him for all He has done and continues to do in our lives, and to bring our requests to Him, that our lives and the communities we are part of may be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer is an essential part of our weekly services when we gather to worship together.

We hold bi-weekly prayer meetings on Saturday mornings, open to everyone in the church, providing a dedicated time to pray for individuals, the church, our local community, national and global issues. We seek God’s guidance, spending time in the quiet of His presence listening for His voice through scripture, inspired words and pictures. By meeting together in this way, we can share prayer requests and support one another in faith.

Beyond these gatherings, we also meet informally in twos and threes throughout the week, fostering personal connections and continuous prayer as we encourage and uphold each other in our daily lives.

We have a prayer team who are committed to praying for individuals and specific needs. You can email them on prayer@stgdeal.org.

We also have a prayer ministry team who are available to pray with people individually at the end of our 10:30am gathering on Sundays.
