Different Ways to Give

The Parish Giving Scheme (PGS)

STG’s preferred method for receiving regular donations is for donors to give through the Parish Giving Scheme, who administer our donations and collect gift aid on our behalf. It is very easy to start donating through PGS and can be done online, by telephone or by post.

If you are unable to donate via PGS, it is also possible to do so by –

  1. Standing order directly from your bank account to STG’s account For online banking, please set up a standing order to – St Georges Parochial Church Council, Sort Code 52-30-23, 
    A/c No 08112622

    or download a Bank Standing Order form and take/send the completed form to your bank.

    One Off donations can also be made by on-line banking or bank transfer
     
    And please remember GIFT AID –
    If you are a tax-payer, we also ask you to complete a Gift Aid Declaration, to allow STG’s to claim Gift Aid in your name, at no cost to you. This is equivalent to 25p for every £1 donated.

2. Weekly/monthly planned giving envelopes placed into the collection plate

Contact our treasurer, who will issue the PG envelopes to you.  Please also see Gift Aid above            treasurer@stgdeal.org

3. Give As You Earn (GAYE) also known as Payroll Giving

You will need to arrange GAYE through your employer’s payroll department and some employers (e.g. Pfizer) will match your GAYE donations.  Please contact our treasurer, for more information.        treasurer@stgdeal.org

4. Cash into the collection plate

We cannot claim Gift Aid on anonymous cash donations so, if you are a tax payer, please consider one of the above giving options.

5. Digital Giving (Card Reading Machine)

Our card reading machine is in the Church foyer, close to the main entrance door. If you are a tax-payer, please follow the on-screen instructions to complete a Gift Aid Declaration.

6. Bequests

Please do consider leaving a bequest to St George’s in your will.

Your gift will help to maintain the mission and ministry of the Church and ensure that the good news of Jesus is shared with generations to come. See also
